What This Will Be The Highlight
Tulamben promises its own beauty and experience to divers. Divers from other countries recognize Tulamben diving as one of the most distinctive and exciting diving sports. One of Bali's top destinations for diving is here. The shipwreck and coral garden are the two locations where divers can go tulamben diving.
Ship Wreck
If you dive in a shipwreck, you'll experience something unusual. The principal dive site in Tulamben is a shipwreck. The USS Liberty Ship, a wreck that belonged to the US Navy, is what you will discover.
On January 11, 1942, a Japanese destroyer sank this vessel. A mountain eruption in 1963 caused the wreck to drift towards the Tulamben shore. Not far from the shoreline, at a depth of 30 meters, is the USAT Liberty corpse or USS Liberty. The wreck is visible, and everything within is incredibly clear. This location's crystal-clear water offers exceptional vision.
Even though it initially appeared to be haunted, diving near the USS Liberty Ship wreck gradually gained attention and enjoyment. The presence of numerous fish and other marine biota is the cause. There are docile surgeon fishes, bump-headed parrotfish, and even long-shaped fish that prey on other little fish, like the giant barracuda with its razor-sharp teeth. Additionally discovered are sea snails, which have strikingly vibrant colors. Even while there is still steel in the wreck itself, coral has already grown over it.
Coral Garden
Second diving site is Coral Garden. FADs and aggregations of coral reefs can be seen here. FADs are set up so that they imitate particular patterns or designs.
The best site to see artificial coral gardens is here. Around FADs, you can observe different kinds of corals and marine life. When you go tulamben diving, you can observe how the inhabitants mix beauty and environment.
